Romance Writers of Australia Conference

Where have the past three weeks gone? Well….I have been working through the edits for In At the Deep End that's where! Very satisfying because it means the novel is one step closer to publication, but quite a challenge to fit it all in to my regular (irregular) schedule.

It's great to be at the Romance Writers Conference in Glenelg, SA. The sessions start tomorrow, and finish on Sunday. RWA is a fantastic community of writers from all around Australia. For this conference there is an academic stream (through Flinders University) in addition to the regular stream that focusses on craft, publishing, and a number of other indefinable elements (such as the vibe created when scores of writers - at various stages of their writing careers - get together). It is going to be very difficult to fit in all the sessions I am interested in attending!

I'll keep you posted on how it all goes. In the meantime, here are a couple of shots of Glenelg. There's a fierce wind blowing, but the sun is out and the weather is warm. And in the next couple of days I hope to take some photos of some writers. There are many of my favourites from Harlequin attending the conference!
